MaPSA CHRMD PASIMBA
The MaPSA CHRMD Refresher Workshop Seminar on PASIMBA took place at the MaPSA Holistic Development Center (MHDC) in Silang, Cavite, on September 5-6, 2024. The two-day seminar, titled Paralegal ng Simbahan, Manggagawa at Bayan, aimed to update participants on labor laws, employment conditions, and workplace rights in educational institutions.
Led by legal experts, including Atty. Ulpiano P. Sarmiento III and Atty. Jehn Louie W. Velandrez, key topics covered labor rights, management prerogatives, the Magna Carta for Women, and the treatment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the workplace.
Day 1 included a welcome session, MHDC orientation, and talks on legal issues like “No Permit, No Exam,” employee relations, and conditions of employment, ending with a socialization session.
Day 2 focused on teacher and employee discipline, contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and concluded with a session on MaPSA retirement and a Eucharistic celebration.
This seminar aimed to equip HR professionals, school administrators, and MaPSA members with insights to create a fairer, more respectful working environment in educational institutions.
